At the Canadian Telecommunications Summit, I delivered a keynote highlighting the urgent need for connectivity across Canada, emphasizing the economic and social potential of direct-to-mobile satellite services. Drawing from my experience in rural communications and Terrestar’s unique position as Canada’s only mobile satellite operator, I outlined how connectivity powers economic growth, enhances safety, and strengthens national sovereignty. I discussed the initiatives Terrestar is undertaking to close the connectivity gap, especially in underserved areas, and stressed the critical support needed to achieve universal access. The message was clear: the future of connectivity depends on the actions we take today.
